Speed Matters

We know that getting things done quickly in DoubleClick Search is key to the success of your campaign management programs. We’re pleased to announce the first in a series of speed improvements.

Exporting objects from DoubleClick Search is a key workflow for many users. With the November 13 release, your export experience should be better. When using the CSV or TSV format, we now use a streaming download model. What does this mean?
  • If you’re using a modern web browser, downloads should start much faster.
  • If you have very large accounts, it’s much less likely that your export will time out.
  • The overall export time will also be improved when using a slow internet connection.
Check out this table for more specifics:

Ignoring internet connection speeds, our goal is for all exports to start downloading within 3 seconds. Currently, about 90% of all exports are meeting this goal.

Look for more export and upload speed improvements to come soon, as we know this is a key area for you.

In another area, signing in to DoubleClick Search and pulling up your list of advertisers should be quick so you can get to real business. With the November 23 release, the page should load about 50% faster. For our largest users, the page will now load in 8 seconds rather than about 18 seconds.

We hope that these changes improve your DoubleClick Search experience. Look for even more improvements to the speed of DoubleClick Search to follow soon, and remember to subscribe to the blog to stay informed!
