So, today, we’re excited to announce beta support for AdWords’ new Click-to-Teleport (CTT) extension*. This extension is expected to radically shorten the offline conversion funnel by allowing a user to teleport directly to your business location by clicking on your search ad.
So, today, we’re excited to announce beta support for AdWords’ new Click-to-Teleport (CTT) extension*. This extension is expected to radically shorten the offline conversion funnel by allowing a user to teleport directly to your business location by clicking on your search ad.
Creating Click-to-Teleport extensions
To create a new CTT extension, select an engine account from the lefthand nav and then the CTT extensions tab. Once on that tab, select the +New button. From here, you’ll be able to name your extension and select to goal of the teleport to select between location, conversion and even rotations. Note that if you’re using a bid strategy, we recommend that you not use AdWords’ native conversion optimization.
Reporting on Click-to-Teleport extensions
To view visit and conversion stats associated with a CTT extension, click on the CTT extensions tab. Since conversion data is available only through offline conversion imports, you will, by default only see stats provided by the engine, such as impressions and clicks.
Tracking sales from Click-to-Teleport customers
Conversions generated by these offline transaction can be re-imported into DoubleClick Search using the import offline conversions feature we launched recently.
Since AdWords click-to-teleport does not provide return transportation by default, you can even adjust the value of your conversions to deduct any taxi/airfare costs for returning your customers to their original locations. This, combined with a CPA-based bid strategy, will allow you to bid more effectively on your most profitable keywords.
