DS3: Improved Support for Managing Multiple Engine Accounts

Wednesday, June 8, 2011 |

We’re excited to announce the release of Advertiser-level and Agency-level Reporting and Uploading Across Multiple Engine Accounts in DoubleClick Search V3 (DS3)! With these latest updates, you’re able to easily manage and analyze large amounts of data across your accounts. Run a campaign report across all the advertisers in your agency? No problem! Make changes across all the engine accounts for an advertiser in a single bulksheet? Easily done!

Note: This release also introduces Floodlight tag bidding to DS3. Look for a future blog post with more details.

Let’s take a closer look at these new features.

Advertiser/Agency-level Reports

DS3 now has advertiser-level and agency-level reports. To access these reports, select an advertiser and then Download. From there, you’ll have the option to select your scope. If you choose an agency-level or advertiser-level report, they’ll be emailed to you.

With agency, advertiser, and other reports, you also now have the ability to select the specific objects you’d like included in the report. For example, when running an advertiser-level report, you can now elect to just include keywords, or when running an engine account report, include just ads, with the simple check of a box. This new workflow makes it even easier to include just the information you’d like to analyze from the agency all the way down to the keyword level.

Note: You may want to use filters to further customize the data in your reports. For example, you can filter by advertiser to restrict the number of advertisers that appear in an agency report.

Upload Across Multiple Engines

This new feature will save you time making changes to your accounts. You’re now able to create and make edits to multiple engine accounts (Google AdWords and Microsoft adCenter) within a single bulksheet. Follow the steps below to set up your bulksheet:

1. Download a report that is scoped by advertiser and has editable columns.
2. If you plan to edit existing campaigns, ad groups, ads, or keywords, be sure to select the relevant check boxes next to Include types.
3. Edit the downloaded report to make your changes.
4. The Engine Account ID column, which should be automatically populated in the report, is required. If you're creating new campaigns, ad groups, ads, or keywords, be sure to include the engine account ID in the new row.
5. Click the Uploads tab. The Uploads page appears.
6. In the Engine Account dropdown, select Multiple Engine Accounts.

Visit our Help Center for more details on uploading to multiple engine accounts. Also, sign up for a DS3 webinar for opportunities to learn about all these updates and more! Be sure to stay tuned to this blog for the most up-to-date information, tips, and feature updates.
